I have worked on Odoo for ten years, back to when it was still called OpenERP. For the first six I built complete ERP systems for hospitals, hotels, retail shops and a real-estate firm. On several of those I was the only developer, from the first client meeting through to go-live. The last four years have gone into social protection software that governments use to register people and pay them.

I joined OpenSPP in its first month. I am now its top contributor by commit count, and 53 of its modules name me as a maintainer. Most of what I write is Python, PostgreSQL and Odoo framework code, though the earlier years were broader: queueing systems in C#, ward monitoring on .NET, PHP front ends, and a React Native mobile app for a property developer. I also design the interfaces I build.

About 500 of my commits are bug fixes and regression work on code already running in production. That balance is on purpose. I have also reviewed 189 pull requests from other people, and I wrote the review guide and the QA test format the team works from.

Introduction

Open source

OpenSPP · since Aug 2022

OpenSPP is open-source software built on Odoo. Governments and NGOs run cash transfers and aid programmes on it. It holds the register of people in a programme, works out who qualifies for what, and tracks the money or goods that reach them. I have worked on it since the project began. My first commit went in eleven days after the repository was created.

Three modules in the platform started with me. One is the queue that handles beneficiary ID cards, covering batching, approval, printing and distribution. Another is the farmer registry built for Laos, together with the shared base that other country deployments extend. The third records dated events against people and households.

Most of my work now sits in two areas. One is disaster relief, where I added receipt against the quantity actually delivered, links between incidents and warehouses that work in both directions, reviewer notes on requests, resubmission when a request is revised, and an alert state for incidents. The other is the change-request system, which covers a household gaining or losing a member and transferring its head, along with the approval rules and tests behind that.

Odoo Developer

ACN · Remote

Core developer on OpenSPP. I stayed with the product when it moved from NewLogic to ACN.

  • Top all-time contributor to the Odoo 19 re-platforming, and listed maintainer on 53 of its modules.
  • Principal contributor to the disaster relief module and the beneficiary change-request system.
  • Authored the repository-wide pull request review guide and reviewer checklist now used by the team.
  • Shipped across programme and cycle management, eligibility scoring, disability and farmer registries, geospatial data, and the REST API layer.
Aug 2022 – Jul 2025

Odoo Developer

NewLogic · Remote

Core developer on OpenSPP from the platform's first month through its main build-out phase.

  • Contributed to 100+ modules spanning registries, programmes, entitlements, ID issuance, document management, approvals and consent.
  • Created the ID card issuance queue, the Laos farmer registry and the event-data module. I am named as a maintainer on the last of those.
  • Worked on the API layer, administrative area hierarchy, import matching, OAuth authentication and user roles.
  • 140+ commits to the official documentation.

Software Developer

PITH Technologies

Six years building complete Odoo systems that ran clients' whole operations, in healthcare, hospitality, retail and real estate. I started on OpenERP with the firm's first client, a hospital, and moved that client base forward as each new Odoo version arrived. I still take contract work here alongside my current role.

  • Sole implementer for the hotel, retail and real-estate clients: requirements gathering, module development, data migration off their old systems, user training and go-live.
  • Two hotels in the Visayas region: property and daily operations management.
  • Hospital management systems for multiple private hospitals across the Philippines, delivered as a two-developer team with the module scope split between us.
  • Retail and point-of-sale systems for small businesses; a real-estate operations platform.
  • Not all of it was Odoo. I built queueing systems in C# with the front end in PHP, ward monitoring on .NET, and mobile apps in React Native for a real-estate development.

Recent contract work. I have left the clients unnamed, but I can talk through any of it.

Production workflow system

garment manufacturer · Odoo 19

A garment style moves through twenty-five stages, from first concept to order release, picking up sampling, costing and sizing along the way. Every stage has its own form, with sign-offs and locks that stop work beginning out of order. It imports the client's own spec workbooks, carries an editable size-chart matrix, controls access menu by menu, and sends sample requests with barcodes on them.

Rental and logistics ERP modules

equipment distributor · Flectra 3

Custom modules on a full ERP distribution. Rental prices scale by unit of measure, and equipment coming back off hire raises its own repair order. Deliveries go out in whole packages while the billing stays capped, shortages are billed on the draft invoice, and a CSV export feeds the client's accounting system.

Hospital information and EMR systems

private hospitals · under NDA

Patient registry, encounters, billing, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology, with customisations for individual departments on top. The same work covers the admission and medical reporting systems I built for a university health service.

Odoo SaaS

An integration layer that lets a hosted Odoo tenant exchange data with outside applications. It handles fiscal positions across several companies, and runs data-quality checks that reach users as filters and as flags on the records.

RAP

Restaurant Agile Platform · Odoo 19

A restaurant platform built on Odoo's point-of-sale modules. Staff work the floor and tables through colour states they can configure themselves, and an order already sent to the kitchen cannot be cancelled by accident. It has PDF reporting, a generator that fills a database with plausible demo orders, and a command-line tool that brings the whole stack up under Docker.

Business Essentials & Automation · Odoo 19

Philippine HR and payroll. It handles attendance, shift changes, leave, recruitment and separation, with a dashboard on top. Underneath sits a multi-tier approval engine that any module in the suite can route a request through.
